# CMS & DAM Engineer

**Solvd** · Poland

Apply: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/solvd/7fe0114b-9296-498a-b5d0-9b20f87bd868

## About the role

*Solvd Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across **cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence**. We work with industry-leading organizations to design, build, and operationalize technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.*

*Following the acquisition of **Tooploox**, a premier AI and product development company, Solvd now offers true **end-to-end delivery**—from strategic advisory and solution design to custom AI development and enterprise-scale implementation. Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.*

We are looking for a **CMS & DAM Engineer** to join a greenfield digital news platform build for a major international news brand. There is no legacy system, no migration burden — this is a new platform built from scratch, video-first and breaking-news-first, designed to sustain extreme traffic during major events and support complete newsroom workflows from draft to publish.

You'll own the CMS configuration and digital asset management layer end-to-end — from content models and editorial workflows through DAM taxonomy, rights management, and integrations with video, search, and distribution services. This is a full-lifecycle engagement: discovery, build, launch, and multi-year support.

#### What you'll do

**CMS Configuration & Development**

- Configure and develop the selected CMS platform — AEM or Amplience.

- Implement content models, templates, components, and editorial configurations.

- Configure authoring, approval, scheduling, and publishing workflows to support full newsroom operations.

- Support breaking-news and major-event editorial capabilities, including homepage mode-switching under high traffic.

- Implement taxonomy and structured-content models.

- Configure permissions and newsroom roles.

- Implement preview and publishing capabilities.

- Develop CMS extensions where native functionality does not meet requirements.

- Integrate CMS with DAM, search, video, and downstream distribution services.

- Support testing, editorial training, and production stabilization.**Digital Asset Management**

- Own the design and configuration of digital asset management workflows end-to-end.

- Define image and video metadata structures, taxonomy, credits, captions, source, and rights metadata.

- Design embargo, licence, and expiration management workflows.

- Establish image rendition, crop, and focal-point workflows.

- Define duplicate and near-duplicate asset handling approaches.

- Design asset usage and reference tracking.

- Establish replacement, restriction, and takedown workflows.

- Integrate DAM with CMS, video pipeline, and distribution services.

- Support asset migration, editorial training, and operational governance.

#### Basic qualifications

- Hands-on experience configuring and developing on AEM or Amplience in a production environment.

- Experience implementing content models, editorial workflows, and publishing pipelines for a content-heavy platform.

- Strong understanding of DAM concepts — metadata, taxonomy, rights management, renditions, and asset lifecycle.

- Experience integrating CMS and DAM systems with third-party services — video platforms, search, CDN, or distribution APIs.

- Ability to configure permissions and role-based access for multi-user editorial teams.

- Experience working on structured, phased delivery programmes with clear milestones and launch targets.

- Strong communication skills — able to work with editorial, product, and engineering stakeholders.

#### Preferred qualifications

- Experience delivering CMS/DAM solutions for news, media, or publishing organizations.

- Familiarity with breaking-news editorial workflows and high-traffic event scenarios.

- Experience with video asset management and broadcast clip ingestion pipelines.

- Knowledge of GDPR compliance requirements as they apply to content and media platforms.

- Experience with accessibility standards for content-heavy web platforms.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling.

- Experience supporting editorial training and operational handover programmes.**When you join Solvd, you'll…**

- Shape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.

- Be part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.

- Thrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.**Ready to make an impact?**

If you're excited to build things that matter, champion responsible AI, and grow with some of the industry’s sharpest minds. Apply today and let’s innovate together.

*Solvd is an equal opportunity employer.*
