## About Snowflake

Snowflake enables organizations to collaborate, build AI-powered data apps, and unlock data insights—all within a secure and scalable AI Data Cloud.

## About the role

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

Snowflake is building the data and AI platform for the agentic enterprise. Enterprise Apps & Agentic Systems is applying that same standard internally by redesigning business domains from first principles and turning high-value workflows into software-defined, AI-native products.

We are hiring a Sr. Director to make Finance, OTC, Revenue, People, and Legal domains more agentic. This leader will own the product and engineering strategy across the portfolio, moving beyond application management to deliver intelligent products that understand context, act across systems, operate within guardrails, and involve people when judgment is required.

This leader will work directly with business executives to identify the work that should be eliminated, redesigned, or delegated to software. They will build the teams, product model, technical foundations, and operating mechanisms needed to move quickly from opportunity to production and deliver measurable business impact

#### CORE MISSION:

- Transform enterprise operations across Finance, People, and Legal by redesigning end-to-end workflows into AI-native products rather than adding incremental features to legacy apps.

- Combine domain expertise, enterprise data, workflow automation, autonomous agents, and controls into a coherent operating experience.

- Establish a product-led model where cross-functional teams co-own strategy, adoption, reliability, and business impact.

- Build a scalable AI product lifecycle to rapidly prototype, evaluate, deploy, and scale intelligent agents across the organization.

### AS A SR. DIRECTOR, APPLICATIONS ENGINEERING AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

- Define and execute the multi-year product and engineering roadmap across Finance, HR, and Legal domains, aligning investments with high-value business outcomes.

- Partner with C-level and executive leaders (CFO, HR, Legal) to challenge existing processes and redesign future-state operating models.

- Deliver production-grade agents and AI-native workflows that use trusted context and enterprise tools to complete multi-step work, manage exceptions, and escalate with clear explanations and auditability.

- Establish a product-led operating model in which business and technology co-own the problem, product strategy, adoption, reliability, controls, and value realized.

- Establish software architecture and engineering standards for AI products, covering orchestration, context retrieval, tool integration, safety, compliance, latency, and cost.

- Build reusable AI patterns and modular platforms to enable fast deployment of agentic capabilities without building bespoke platforms for every use case.

- Lead cross-functional product pods accountable for adoption, workflow completion, and measurable value realization.

- Ensure AI implementations maintain rigorous governance, auditability, SOX controls, data privacy, and security standards.

- Define operational metrics to track agentic transformation, including automation rates, cycle-time reductions, exception management, and ROI.

- Hire, mentor, and scale a world-class product and engineering team with strong AI fluency, business empathy, and operational excellence.

- Manage portfolio budgets, vendor strategies, and technology partnerships to accelerate business outcomes.

### OUR IDEAL SR. DIRECTOR, APPLICATIONS ENGINEERING WILL HAVE:

- 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology, product management, or software engineering, with 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary organizations at the Director level or above.

- A demonstrated record of building and scaling software-defined products and AI-native or intelligent workflows in production, with measurable business impact.

- Strong technical grounding in modern AI architectures (LLM/agent patterns, orchestration, tools, evaluation) and cloud data platforms like Snowflake.

- First-principles product mindset focused on simplifying workflows, rapid prototyping, outcome ownership, and user-centric design.

- Experience building product-led organizations with empowered teams, managing managers, and setting a high talent bar across product, program, engineering, and domain leadership.

- Experience moving quickly from ambiguity to a working product, learning from usage, simplifying fragmented landscapes, and making hard prioritization decisions based on business value.

- Demonstrated executive presence and ability to collaborate effectively with C-suite stakeholders as a strategic partner.

- Deep knowledge of compliance, audit, SOX controls, data governance, and responsible AI practices.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. Snowflake employees must abide by the company’s data security plan as an essential part of their duties. It is every employee's duty to keep customer information secure and confidential.Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
