The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for the federally contracted ICE residential facility located in Alexandria, Louisiana.

##### Conditions of Employment:

- Employees must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.

- Employment contingent upon required screenings and clearances.

- Compliance with federal security and operational protocols required.

- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

- Must show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

##### What We Offer:

- Hourly pay rate $30/ an hr.

##### Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, operations, and maintenance requirements.

- Associate degree, HVAC apprenticeship completion, and/or a minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience.

- EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.

- Ability to clearly communicate technical information related to HVAC equipment and systems.

##### Responsibilities:

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement corrective actions.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

- Test HVAC equipment and components to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications

- Install ductwork, piping, thermostats, controls, and ventilation systems

- Monitor system performance and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements

- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs

- Perform service, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, air-handling equipment, chilled water systems, hot water systems, DX systems, exhaust systems, and related equipment.

- Complete routine preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
