In this role, you will build robust frameworks for waste segregation, water monitoring, and air emission controls that exceed legal requirements. Furthermore, you will be responsible for designing a proactive regulatory intelligence system to continuously update chemical handling standards and environmental policies, ensuring our organization stays ahead of domestic and international compliance trends. **Responsibilities:** - Oversee the end-to-end process of waste management, including the segregation, collection, and legally compliant disposal of both general and designated hazardous waste. - Conduct regular monitoring and chemical analysis of water pollutants to ensure adherence to environmental standards. - Manage air emission systems to guarantee stable operations and full compliance with legal regulations and internal operational standards. - Track regulatory trends to drive the establishment and revision of internal environmental management policies. - Develop and enforce chemical handling standards, covering safe procurement, storage, usage, and disposal practices. **Qualification:** - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field. - Strong knowledge of EPA regulations (RCRA, Clean Air/Water Acts). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in EHS management with at least 1 years focused on Environmental systems, permitting, and design review in U.S. industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is highly desirable. - Experience working in a multicultural or international environment. - Basic knowledge of project management tools or software. - Experience in managing EHS systems and coordinating with authorities/AHJ. - CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or CEP (Certified Environmental Professional) preferred. **Requirement: ** - Authorized to work in the US - ~10-20% travel required **Benefits: ** - Top Tier health insurance at no employee cost - Paid day offs: Paid Time Off, Company Holidays, Parental Leave, Happy Fridays - 401k Matching - Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for Health Care & Dependent Care - Educational reimbursement up to $10,000 per year - Donation Matching and volunteering opportunities - Corporate discount programs **Equal Employment Opportunity:** SK hynix America is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
