**Finance at Scandit****
**Scandit is a success story. And that’s due in no small part to our Finance & Legal teams. Driving the business, not just supporting it. Shaping processes, not just following them. This is a place where ambitious professionals can really make their mark.

**Your opportunity**

As Senior Accountant, GL & AP, you'll take ownership of a defined part of our global accounting operations and help shape how they scale. We are looking for someone on an interim basis, with the possibility of extension based on business need. The role has three parts:

- Independent ownership of the general ledger for selected group entities

- Support to the accounts payable process

- Finance-side ownership of the rollout of a new invoice processing tool

This role suits someone who works well in a high-growth environment, enjoys simplifying complexity and wants to help build modern, tech-enabled accounting operations. The position is fully remote within Poland. Responsibilities are as follows:

- Maintain the general ledger for the assigned group entities - fixed asset ledgers, payroll accounting, accruals, prepayments and FX revaluation

- Prepare input for the month-end and year-end close, and review reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts

- Analyse income statement and balance sheet variances for the assigned entities

- Prepare and post intercompany calculations and invoices

- Prepare and review VAT returns and other statutory reporting, and prepare selected statutory financial statements and audit documentation

- Support the accounts payable process across group entities - review postings for coding, VAT treatment and approval routing, and resolve disputed and complex items with the AP team, including cross-border VAT and reverse charge

- Reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger, and support banking operations by investigating unidentified bank postings

- Take finance-side ownership of the rollout of the new invoice processing tool - process design, vendor and GL mapping, data validation, testing and documentation

- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Tax and other teams to ensure accurate accounting for their areas

**About you**:

- At least five years of experience in general ledger accounting, in an international, multi-entity environment

- Proven ability to close a set of entities independently, and to pick up an existing process quickly with limited handover

- Solid understanding of VAT treatment on cross-border transactions within the EU, including reverse charge and intra-EU acquisitions

- Practical experience of an accounts payable process in a multi-country environment

- Experience preparing statutory financial statements and supporting external audits

- Experience in an ERP system, preferably NetSuite, including multi-currency accounting

- Experience of implementing or rolling out an invoice automation or P2P tool is a strong plus

- Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, fluency in spoken and written English, and strong Excel skills

- Available at short notice

**The good stuff****
**Here are just some of the reasons why people choose to build their career at Scandit:

- We are proud to be “GREAT PLACE TO WORK” in 10 countries!

- Smart, people-first culture

- Flexible, office, hybrid or home working

- Innovation hackathons

- Global team outings

- Festive/end of year all company celebrations

- Your birthday off

- Learning and development opportunities

- Mentoring programs

- An attractive individual equity plan in a high growth company

- Top notch tech pack to enable you to do your most productive work

- Brand new optimized-for-hybrid working HQ in Zurich as well as local offices in hotspots London, Tampere, Warsaw and Tokyo

- As well as specific benefits related to the location you are joining
