##### About the Role

As a **Facilities Technician at Rocket EMS**, you will be responsible for maintaining the building systems, utilities, and infrastructure that support our electronics manufacturing operations. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot facility issues, and complete repairs to keep our facilities safe, reliable, and operating efficiently. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, practical building maintenance experience, and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced production environment.

##### Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, doors, and general facility infrastructure.

- Troubleshoot facility issues involving electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems; complete repairs within your training and authorization.

- Inspect buildings and work areas to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, leaks, damage, and potential equipment failures.

- Support facility utilities, including compressed air, ventilation, exhaust, nitrogen distribution, and water systems, in coordination with maintenance and engineering.

- Perform general building repairs, including patching, painting, minor carpentry, hardware replacement, and workstation maintenance.

- Respond promptly to facility service requests and urgent issues to minimize disruption to production.

- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs, inspections, and services; communicate work requirements and verify completion.

- Support equipment installations, relocations, and facility improvements by preparing work areas and coordinating utility connections.

- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection checklists, work orders, and service records.

- Monitor and replenish maintenance supplies, tools, and commonly used replacement parts.

- Assist with scheduled inspections and maintenance of emergency lighting, exits, and other building safety systems.

- Follow all applicable safety, lockout/tagout, ESD, and contractor access procedures.

- Identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, energy efficiency, and workplace conditions.

##### Qualifications

**Education**

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Technical certification, trade school training, or an associate’s degree in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.

**Experience**

- 2+ years of facilities or building maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environment.

- Hands-on experience with general building repairs, HVAC maintenance, plumbing, lighting, and facility utility systems preferred.

- Experience coordinating with service contractors and supporting facility improvement projects preferred.

**Skills**

- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting abilities.

- Working knowledge of building electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and compressed air systems.

- Ability to read technical manuals, basic schematics, floor plans, and maintenance instructions.

- Proficiency with common hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.

- Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and maintenance tracking systems.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with production teams, engineers, vendors, and management.

- Ability to prioritize service requests, work independently, and respond effectively to urgent facility issues.

- Sound judgment in recognizing when work requires a qualified specialist or licensed contractor.

Pay Range$25—$30 USD**ITAR/EAR Compliance:** Due to the nature of the work performed at Rocket EMS, this position may require access to export-controlled technical data or technology. The successful candidate must be eligible to access such information under applicable U.S. export-control laws or be eligible for any required government authorization.
