We're looking for a detail-driven Quality Control Inspector to join our team and play a hands-on role in ensuring every part we produce meets the highest standards. Whether you're just getting started in precision metrology or you're a seasoned inspector with years of CMM and GD&T experience, we want to hear from you. We build careers here, not just inspection logs — and if precision work done well matters to you, you'll fit right in. #### What You'll Do - Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections using a range of precision metrology tools — from calipers and micrometers to CMM equipment (Zeiss/Calypso preferred) - Read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T callouts to verify dimensional and quality requirements - Document inspection findings accurately and completely in our MES (ProShop ERP) in compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards - Conduct visual inspections for surface defects such as nicks, scratches, and finish inconsistencies - Support non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action efforts - Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within your work area - Collaborate daily with machinists, engineers, and quality teammates to keep production moving without sacrificing accuracy - Support newer team members by sharing inspection techniques, tool knowledge, and documentation best practices - Maintain organized, safe, and compliant work areas in accordance with all company safety protocols - Support other shop floor functions as needed, including CNC machine operation, post-processing of additively manufactured parts, mechanical assembly, and vendor logistics #### What We're Looking For - High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is a plus - Candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. - Hands-on experience with precision metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, bore gauges) or a strong eagerness to learn - Ability to read technical drawings; working knowledge of GD&T principles is a plus - Familiarity with CMM operation (Zeiss/Calypso preferred) is a bonus - Experience with ERP or MES systems; ProShop familiarity is a plus - Knowledge of or exposure to AS9100/ISO9001 quality standards preferred - Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accuracy and follow-through - Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset - A genuine investment in your own growth — we reward curiosity, initiative, and continuous learning #### Physical Requirements - Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shop floor for extended periods - Ability to lift and carry parts and equipment up to 50 lbs - Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures - Required to wear appropriate PPE at all times, including eye protection and hearing protection - Ability to perform close visual inspection work with attention to fine detail over sustained periods - Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate precision metrology tools and inspection equipment - Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed to access parts and equipment in various positions ### About Rennscot MFG Rennscot MFG, founded in 2017, started as a motorsports-focused shop in the aftermarket automotive industry.
