##### CNC Steel Fabrication Operator – Ashland, VA

**Location:** Ashland, VA
**Job Type:** Full-Time
**Shift:** 1st Shift
**Starting Pay:** $20/hour — higher depending on experience

##### Position Overview

Seeking a CNC operator with structural steel fabrication experience. This position involves setting up and running CNC equipment, producing steel components from drawings and work orders, and checking finished parts for accuracy and quality.

##### What You’ll Do

- Set up and operate CNC machinery used in structural steel production, including combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.

- Review blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders before and during production.

- Machine and assemble structural steel components using hand and power tools.

- Make machine adjustments to maintain proper dimensions, accuracy, and production quality.

- Inspect completed parts to verify they meet drawing and structural specifications.

- Identify equipment issues and perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance.

- Enter production information and maintain records using Global Shop or similar ERP software.

- Work with the production team to maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area.

##### Requirements

- Previous structural steel fabrication experience is required.

- Hands-on experience operating CNC equipment, particularly combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Proficiency with hand and power tools.

- Basic computer skills; experience with Global Shop or another ERP system is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods.
