We are a global technology consultancy with a trademarked, AI-first approach**—Gen-e2™. **It redefines how enterprises build digital products and transform their organizations with AI. **We do the right thing, and we do it right.** We're proud to be a World Economic Forum New Champion, and a B Corp-certified company. - We are small enough to care locally, big enough to deliver globally (10 countries, 450+ experts from 50+ nationalities) - We are becoming an agentic organization, adopting the AI-native operating model we bring to our clients. - We are robust and resilient (100% independent, 0 debt, founded 2009) - We are AI-native professionals who invest in what we believe and work as a collective intelligence - We are positive, courageous and deliver at the leading edge. ##### Your Role As a **Software architect **with a strong **AI coaching**, you will lead the technical delivery of digital products end-to-end—hands-on when needed while guiding teams toward scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. ##### Key Responsibilities - Lead the design and evolution of technology solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. - Drive architectural decisions and trade-offs (e.g., microservices vs modular monolith), applying patterns such as DDD, Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, and event-driven approaches when relevant. - Design, build, and evolve REST APIs, including versioning, contract-first practices (OpenAPI), backward compatibility, and robust error handling. - Define and enforce engineering standards: clean code, testing strategy, code reviews, observability, security practices, and CI/CD. - Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a strong delivery culture and continuously raising the engineering bar. - Partner with Product, QA, UX, and stakeholders to refine scope, assess technical risks, shape the roadmap, and deliver incrementally. - Encourage AI-first engineering practices (Copilot/GenAI) with proper governance: quality gates, security, traceability, and testing. ##### Who You Are - 10+ years of software engineering experience with proven technical leadership (Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or strong senior with leadership responsibilities). - Strong backend expertise in Java (ideally 17/21/25+) with solid testing practices (e.g., JUnit/Mockito ) and performance awareness. - Proven ability to design and communicate software architecture: microservices/modular monoliths, Clean/Hexagonal, SOLID principles, integration patterns, and API design. - Strong engineering fundamentals: CI/CD, Git workflows, code review practices, observability (logs/metrics/traces), and a secure-by-design mindset.**Nice to have / Strong plus** - Kafka/RabbitMQ, event-driven architectures, CQRS, saga/outbox patterns. - Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform/IaC, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP). - OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and security best practices (OWASP). - Experience in high-traffic systems, performance tuning, and caching strategies. - Experience working in AI-assisted engineering environments and setting quality/security guardrails. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence decisions and align teams. - Professional English (B2+ preferred) for global collaboration and documentation. ##### AI-Native Engineering (Core Expectation) - Use Generative AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as a first-class engineering assistant for: - Code scaffolding and refactoring - Code generation and optimisation - Test-cases and documentation generation - Build applications through AI-driven development practices, including: - AI-assisted debugging and troubleshooting - Intelligent code completion and pattern recognition - Automated documentation generation - Apply prompt engineering best practices for reliable, repeatable engineering outcomes. - Validate GenAI output (determinism checks, guardrails, fallback logic). ##### More About PALO IT Our clients include some of the world’s most successful companies.
