Our technology is genuinely novel: we can sequence a full genome from a single hair at a fraction of traditional industry costs, our models achieve ~90% prediction accuracy on traits where existing approaches sit closer to ~30%, and we’re pioneering farm-specific genomic predictions that turn genetics into practical, actionable decisions. If you’re exceptional at what you do and want your work to have a measurable impact on an entire industry, we’d love to build it with you. #### About the Role Feanix is looking for a Dairy Support Specialist to work directly with our dairy customers and help ensure they get real, measurable value from our product. This is a unique role that combines **dairy expertise, customer support, herd management software, data quality, and hands-on problem solving**. You will be one of the primary people our farmers rely on when they have a question, something doesn't look right, or they need help understanding and acting on a Feanix recommendation. **Dairy experience is essential.** Our customers are experienced dairy owners, managers, herdsmen, and operators. To earn their trust, you need to understand how a commercial dairy actually operates, speak their language, and be comfortable discussing herd management and economics with them. You do not need to come in as a data scientist. We can teach much of the analysis and our technology will do a significant portion of the heavy lifting. What is much harder to teach is dairy judgment, herd management software fluency, curiosity, and the ability to recognize when something simply doesn't look right. This is also not a traditional Customer Success role. You will spend meaningful time working directly with farm data, auditing product outputs, troubleshooting herd management software, and investigating issues. You need to be equally comfortable talking with a frustrated dairy owner and digging into their herd records to figure out what happened. Feanix is an AI-native company, and we expect the people who join us to work that way too. We aren't looking for someone who occasionally uses AI to search for information, polish an email, or make a spreadsheet easier. We want people who have integrated AI deeply into how they work—using it to move faster, investigate problems, analyze information, automate repetitive work, create better outputs, and dramatically increase what they can accomplish. You should already have examples of ways you've changed your own workflows because of AI. We're interested in people who naturally ask, "How can I use AI to do this faster or better?" before defaulting to a manual process. #### What You'll Do ##### Support Your Farms You will own the day-to-day support relationship for a group of customer dairy farmers. You'll become someone our farmers know and trust—whether they're calling because something is working incredibly well, they don't understand a recommendation, something looks wrong, or they're frustrated and need help. You'll conduct regular farm check-ins, prepare agendas and reports, walk customers through their Autopilot decisions and results, and make sure open issues get resolved. When something goes wrong, you'll own the problem until the farm is unstuck—even when the solution requires working across Product, Engineering, Farm Operations, or other teams. ##### Work Hands-On in Herd Management Software You'll work directly in herd management software to support Feanix implementations and ongoing farm operations. This includes: - Setting up and maintaining Feanix items, commands, protocols, and menus - Troubleshooting configuration and data issues - Investigating inconsistencies in herd records - Helping farms use Feanix workflows correctly - Creating simple SOPs and training materials for farm teams You should be comfortable getting into herd management software yourself and diagnosing an issue rather than simply passing it to someone else. ##### Protect the Quality of Our Recommendations Our product makes recommendations that can directly affect a farm's economics and herd. You'll help make sure the information behind those recommendations is right. You'll review herd data and product outputs, identify unusual results or data problems, and investigate discrepancies before they become customer-facing problems. We want someone who takes pride in getting the details right. You'll use your dairy knowledge and judgment to validate data and recommendations, recognize when something doesn't look right, and investigate issues before they reach the farm. ##### Analyze Farm Performance You'll help farms understand what Feanix is doing for their operation using their own data. Depending on the farm, this may include: - Compliance analyses - Prediction audits - Herd performance reporting - Extended lactation analyses - Before-and-after comparisons - ROI analyses - Evaluating the financial impact of following—or not following—Feanix recommendations You may need to combine information from multiple sources, identify inconsistencies, and determine whether the numbers actually tell the story they appear to tell. You don't need to be an advanced statistician. You do need to be curious, analytical, and willing to keep digging until you understand why something happened. ##### Build Farmer Confidence Some Feanix recommendations challenge practices that dairy operators have relied on for years. You'll need to explain recommendations in practical dairy terms, answer tough questions, and use the farm's own information to help an owner understand why a different approach may make sense. At times, you'll also be helping rebuild confidence after we've made a mistake. That requires humility, resilience, responsiveness, and the ability to stay calm when a customer is frustrated. ##### Bring the Farm Back Into the Product Because you'll be close to our customers, you'll see things our Engineering and Product teams can't. You'll surface recurring problems, product opportunities, workflow improvements, and ideas that would make Feanix more useful to farms. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering to make sure what we're hearing in the field influences what we build. #### What We're Looking For ##### Required - Meaningful hands-on experience working with commercial dairy operations - Strong understanding of dairy production, herd management, and dairy economics, including the operational and financial impact of breeding, culling, replacement, production, and herd-management decisions - Herd management software fluency, including the ability to investigate and diagnose data or configuration issues - Experience working in an early-stage startup or similarly fast-moving, high-growth environment, with comfort operating through ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving processes - Credibility and confidence working directly with dairy owners, managers, and herdsmen - Experience in a farmer-facing, field support, dairy operations, technical support, consulting, or similar role - Strong problem-solving skills and the judgment to recognize when data or recommendations require further investigation - Ability to interpret farm data and translate it into clear, practical information for dairy operators - Ability and willingness to travel regularly to customer dairies - Strong ownership mentality and comfort working across teams to drive issues through resolution - Expect travel up to 50% of the time to assigned farms. ##### We'd Especially Like to See - Experience supporting multiple commercial dairies or a portfolio of dairy customers - Experience working with herd data from multiple systems or sources - Ability to turn farm data into clear, practical recommendations - Strong written communication skills, particularly for non-technical audiences - Experience creating SOPs, training materials, or short instructional videos - Strong organization across multiple farms, open issues, and competing priorities - A track record of owning problems through resolution rather than simply escalating them #### What Makes Someone Great in This Role The best person for this job has **dairy credibility first**. You understand enough about dairy operations that a farmer doesn't have to teach you the basics before you can help them. You're comfortable in herd management software. You're curious when the numbers don't make sense. You don't blindly trust a report just because a computer produced it. You're also good with people. Farmers will call when they're happy, confused, skeptical, and sometimes angry. You can handle all four. Most importantly, you take ownership. If one of your farms has a problem, you don't care whether the ultimate fix belongs to Support, Product, Engineering, or Operations—you make sure the right people get involved and stay with it until the problem is solved. #### How You'll Spend Your Time The role will vary based on customer needs, but generally expect approximately: - 40% farm analysis, reporting, and investigation - 30% recurring data quality checks, software configuration, and account upkeep - 30% farmer-facing support, check-ins, training, and enablement Travel to customer dairies is a meaningful part of this role.
