## About the role

**Location: **HSK, London, W8 5HY

**Start: **Immediately

**Position:** Internship - 3 months to begin with, with a prospect to extend to 6 months on successful completion of the first 3 months.

**Hours:** 20hrs p/w

**Pay:** London living wage paid pro-rata to the hours worked.

**About the role**

You will primarily be working embedded in the product design team, where the day-to-day will be working across the New Scientist and I Paper website, app, newsletters and other digital formats alongside our two senior product designers.

You will also help with our marketing and brand design team on a regular basis where you may work on marketing assets, brand decks and other digital and print design tasks as needed, you will be working with two brand and marketing designers.

**Person Specification**

The ideal student would be someone who has an interest and strong skills in:

- Product design, UX/UI and broader digital design

- Marketing & Brand design

- Very collaborative and works well in a group/team settings

- Comfortable presenting their work

- Works well with constructive feedback from tutors and peers during design-share sessions

- We are really looking for someone who is passionate about the craft of design, who doesn’t rely on any AI tools to produce their day-to-day work and who is comfortable working at a human pace to create beautifully considered design work.
