# DevSecOps Engineer

## About the role

**Dark Wolf** is seeking two **DevSecOps Engineers **to support the development and sustainment of a cloud-based data environment utilizing enterprise data science tools to empower data scientists. One will focus primarily on AWS & Data Science, and one on being a Platform Lead & focus on DoD Operations. The successful candidate for AWS&Data Science will coordinate directly with the customer to ensure the continuous uptime of an analytics data platform, driving its migration from legacy on-premise environments to AWS GovCloud. Key responsibilities include ensuring the environment stays updated with the latest versions to maintain security accreditation, as well as executing rigorous patch management, data backup and recovery, and incident response. The team provides support to enhance and develop new data applications, modernizing capabilities through an agile process.

The successful candidate for **Platform Lead & DoD Operations** will support the developing and sustaining of a cloud-based platform that enables cyber operations across the Department of Defense (DoD). The successful candidates will coordinate and integrate work across legacy platforms. The team provides support to enhance and develop new applications, analytics, and services for the customer and to modernize capabilities through an agile, evolving requirement identification and prioritization process.

These positions will call for hybrid support in Tampa, FL.

**Required Qualifications for AWS and Data Science Focus:**

- Bachelor’s degree in IT Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical area; or in lieu of a degree, 3 years of equivalent industry experience

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field

- Experience architecting and deploying enterprise-grade AWS cloud infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code, with a strong focus on version management, automated patch management, disaster recovery, and high availability

- Previous experience developing software in an Agile environment, including applied experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and PI planning

- Experience deploying and managing Posit data science tools (e.g., Posit Workbench, Posit Connect) within AWS cloud environments to support advanced analytics, AI/ML systems, and data-driven applications.

- Extensive knowledge of DevOps practices to include microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, cloud architecture, Platform as a Service (Kubernetes or PCF), and infrastructure as code

- Ability to convey complex ideas through conversation, briefings, and writing with clear, concise language

- DOD 8570 LVL II Certification (CompTIA Security+)

- US Citizenship and Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

**Desired Qualifications:**

- Experience with managing multiple Neo4j databases across cloud environments to support complex data modeling and enterprise analytics

- Knowledge of ICD 503 and RMF with previous experience getting Authorization to Operate (ATO) for an application or system

- Certification in cloud architecture with AWS, GCP, or Azure

**Required Qualifications for DevSecOpe Engineer, Platform Lead & DoD Operations: **

- Bachelor’s degree in IT Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical area; or in lieu of a degree, 3 years of equivalent industry experience.

- 3 years demonstrated experience providing technical guidance to other engineers on automation/build tools with 3 years of experience supporting platform architecture directly

- Previous experience developing software in an Agile environment Extensive knowledge of DevOps practices to include microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, cloud architecture, Platform as a Service (Kubernetes or PCF), and infrastructure as code Knowledge of ICD 503 and RMF with previous experience getting Authorization to Operate (ATO) for an application or system

- Ability to convey complex ideas through conversation, briefings, and writing with clear, concise language

- DOD 8570 LVL II Certification Example: Comptia Security+ US Citizenship and ability to be clearable up to the Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

- US Citizen and Top Secret Security Clearance 

**Desired Qualifications: 
**

- Experience with Cloud-Based systems and AI/ML Systems, including ALEX Previous experience working in a DoD software factory such as Kessel Run, Platform One, Kobayashi Maru, etc.

- Certification in cloud architecture with AWS, GCP, or Azure

This position is located in Tampa, FL. The estimated compensation range for these roles are $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 commensurate on experience and technical skill set.
