##### About the Role

We're looking for a **Senior Android Software Engineer** to join a small, product-focused team building a consumer fintech mobile app. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to craft polished user experiences and drive meaningful outcomes for real people managing their finances.

##### What You'll Do

- Design, implement, and maintain a consumer-facing Android application used in production.

- Help build and improve platform-level architecture supporting core app features.

- Solve engineering problems pragmatically, balancing speed and quality.

- Contribute to product design and direction decisions alongside cross-functional teammates.

- Communicate effectively across engineering, product, and business teams.

##### What We're Looking For

- At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, with 2 or more years shipping production Android apps professionally.

- At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.

- Strong Kotlin expertise, including hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.

- Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC.

- Proven experience integrating Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.

- Background building consumer-facing mobile applications, not exclusively B2B products.

- Proficiency with Android testing strategies covering unit, instrumentation, and UI tests.

- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile app development.

- Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior engineers.

- Strong academic background in computer science or a related field.

- Experience with platform-level Android development and architecture is a plus.

##### Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: $160,000 to $200,000 annually.

- Visa sponsorship: Available.

##### Location

On-site in **San Francisco, California**.
