## About Bild AI

Bild AI automates Division 8 estimating — doors, frames, and hardware — end to end. Bild AI reads blueprints and specs, generates opening (door) schedules automatically, prices the bid, and exports it directly into the ERPs Division 8 shops already run on, including Comsense, Avaware, and ProTech.

Division 8 estimating is the brutal trifecta of nitty-gritty details, where typos cost hundreds of thousands, and timelines are tight. Thousands of pages of specs, hardware sets cross-referenced by hand, and a single missed opening that can sink a bid's margin. Bild  AI collapses days of takeoff into hours, and clients have bid 50% more with smaller estimating teams.

## About the role

### Founding AI Engineer

We founded Bild AI to tackle the mess that is blueprint reading, cost estimation, and permit applications in construction. It's a tough technical problem that requires the newest CV and AI approaches, and we’re impact-driven to make it more efficient to build more houses, hospitals, and schools. ##### You’ll

- Focus on the intelligence-layer instead of the application-layer

- Apply SotA computer vision, LLM, and multimodal AI approaches to messy, real-world documents

- Ship initial prototypes quickly, and improve them based on user feedback

##### We want

- Applied CV/ML experience

- 0-to-1 builder, with your AI in production

- Growth mindset, slope > y-intercept
