We’re passionate about connecting talent and technology to deliver measurable value for clients, and meaningful career paths for our people. **About the Role** We are seeking an AI / Data Engineer to build production Agentforce agents—including topics, actions, grounding, guardrails, and the evaluation harness that proves an agent behaves as intended. Agentforce adoption currently sits at roughly 10 to 15 percent of the Salesforce customer base, making this early-market work where the patterns are still being set. You will be expected to help set them rather than wait for them. This is a full-time, contractor agreement, remote role delivered from AspenView’s Latin American delivery centers into a North American client team, working the client’s core business hours with substantial time-zone overlap. AspenView holds the employment relationship and delivery accountability; you will work as part of the client’s squad under AspenView Delivery Leadership. This is a contributor role, not a task-execution role. The team needs people who question whether the right thing is being built, and say so. **What You Will Do** **Agent Development** - Agent Design: Build agents in Agentforce Agent Builder, defining topics, instructions, and the boundaries between them. - Action Implementation: Implement actions across Flow, Apex, prompt templates, and external APIs. - Grounding: Ground agents in Data 360 and retrieval sources so answers come from data rather than from the model. **Guardrails & Evaluation** - Guardrail Design: Design guardrails against prompt injection, data leakage, and out-of-scope action execution. - Evaluation & Regression Testing: Build evaluation sets and regression testing for agent behavior, and run them before every change. - Observability: Instrument agents for observability: what was asked, what was retrieved, what action ran, and what failed. **Data Enablement** - Retrieval Data Preparation: Prepare structured and unstructured data for retrieval, including chunking and metadata strategy. - Data 360 Collaboration: Work with the Data 360 team on freshness, identity, and consent constraints that affect agents. **Iteration** - Evidence-Based Improvement: Analyze live transcripts and deflection data, and improve the agent based on evidence. - Use-Case Advisory: Tell stakeholders clearly when a use case is not a good fit for an agent. **What You Bring** **Education** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience. **Experience** - 4+ years in software or data engineering, with hands-on production experience building LLM-backed applications. - Practical experience with prompt engineering and, more importantly, with testing prompts systematically. - Understanding of AI risk, including hallucination, injection, PII exposure, and action authorization. **Technical Expertise** - Agentforce: Agent Builder, topics and actions, Prompt Builder, and Einstein Trust Layer. - Salesforce Development: Flow and Apex, sufficient to build and debug agent actions. - Retrieval-Augmented Generation: Embeddings, chunking, vector retrieval, and grounding evaluation. - Python: Data preparation, evaluation harnesses, and API work. - Salesforce Data 360: Experience using Data 360 as a grounding source. **Certifications** - Salesforce Certified AI Specialist or Agentforce Specialist (preferred). **Language Proficiency** - Professional English, able to run requirement and design conversations directly with North American stakeholders. **Visa Sponsorship** AspenView does not sponsor employment visas for this role.
